Title: International Engine Congress-Award for CO₂ Management
This is the first official Special Award at Formula Future 2025! It is organised and hosted by Formula Future e.V. The winner will be able to present their car at 13th International Motor Congress in Baden-Baden 2026 and give a presentation to high-ranking managers from well-known industry partners in order to acquire sponsors.
Description:
This award honors the team that presents the most effective and forward-thinking concept for CO₂management. It recognizes efforts to address the vehicle’s carbon footprint within the framework of a comprehensive corporate strategy aimed at reducing emissions throughout the entire value chain, in alignment with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG).

The evaluation will assess how sustainability principles are integrated across all stages of the vehicle lifecycle, as well as the clarity, feasibility, and strategic alignment of the proposed measures.
Evaluation Criteria:
A detailed analysis of the vehicle’s CO₂ footprint, including material selection, production processes, operational emissions, and end-of-life disposal, based on the CCBOM.
Integration of this analysis into a broader business strategy that targets the reduction of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, in accordance with the GHG Protocol.
A well-structured presentation of objectives, implementation measures, and assigned responsibilities within the sustainability strategy.
Application Process:
Teams participating in Formula Future Event 2025 are eligible to apply for this award. Participation is free of charge and includes the following components:
A one-page slide summarizing key facts, objectives, and anticipated benefits - in your team specific upload folder before official event start (06.07 23.59)
A presentation consisting of a 10-minute pitch followed by a 5-minute Q&A session, showcasing the team’s conclusions and strategic approach.
Award:
The winning team will be invited to present their concept and their car at the International Engine Congress in Baden-Baden in 2026.
